Photo: Gunmen Invade Judge’s Residence, Abduct High Court Judge’s Daughter, One Other
Gunmen on Wednesday evening abducted two people, including the daughter of a High Court judge, in Maraba Gurgu community on the outskirts of Lafia, Nasarawa State. The attack took place at about 7:15 p.m. when the armed men invaded the residence of the judge and seized the victims before security operatives and residents could intervene.
Those abducted have been identified as Hauwa Anisa Shikaru, daughter of the Chief Judge of High Court 4 in Maraba Gurgu, and Abdulkarim Ahmed Iliyasu. Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the incident, noting that the gunmen swiftly whisked the victims away.
A search operation has since been launched by security agencies and local vigilantes in a bid to rescue the abductees and apprehend the attackers.
