Man Admits to Killing Wife, 41 Other Women – Police
Police in Kenya have arrested a suspected serial killer linked to the discovery of mutilated women’s bodies at a dumpsite in Nairobi.
On Monday, investigators revealed that the 33-year-old suspect was apprehended on Sunday evening while watching the European Championship final in a pub. The police stated that the man has confessed to murdering 42 women.
According to authorities, the suspect dismembered his victims and placed their remains in plastic bags, which he then discarded into a former quarry in a Nairobi neighborhood.
“We are dealing with a psychopath, a serial killer with no respect for human life,” said Mohamed Amin, head of the criminal investigation department.
The investigation commenced last Friday following the discovery of body parts at the dump. By Sunday, police had recovered the remains of nine women aged between 18 and 30.
The suspect’s first victim was his own wife, whom he strangled and dismembered, Amin reported. He continued to kill and mutilate other women in a similar manner.
Investigators traced the suspect using the mobile phone of his last victim. The suspect reportedly lived just 100 meters away from the dumpsite. During the search of his residence, police found a machete, plastic bags, and personal belongings of his alleged victims.
At the time of his arrest, the suspect was reportedly already looking for his next victim.
