“Leave the Party if You’re Not a Coward,” Ex-PDP Legal Adviser Tells Wike

In a recent interview on Arise News’ “Morning Show,” Mark Jacob, the former National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called on Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to demonstrate courage by leaving the PDP. Jacob accused Wike of exacerbating the internal crisis within the party and criticized him for lacking integrity.

Jacob did not mince words, describing Wike as a “coward” for refusing to sever ties with the PDP despite his apparent disagreements with the party’s direction. “I see him as a coward who is not bold enough to leave the PDP and join the APC. A gentleman who wants to be respected should have resigned from the PDP after taking a stance against it,” Jacob stated.

He further lambasted Wike for what he termed “ungentlemanly” behavior, arguing that Wike’s actions were contradictory. “You cannot be blowing hot and cold at the same time. You cannot be kicking against the PDP and still claim to be a part of it,” Jacob added.

Jacob urged Wike to reflect on the implications of his actions, suggesting that they undermine both his personal integrity and his standing within the party. “Anybody with a good conscience, who wants to be respected even by his children, should be ashamed of such contradictions. It’s a complete irony,” Jacob remarked.

The former legal adviser concluded by calling for honesty within the party, stressing that Wike’s dual stance is unsustainable. “It is time people tell him the truth. You cannot, in good conscience, claim to be a member of the PDP while simultaneously fighting against it; it’s simply not done anywhere,” he said.
