LAWMA Staff laments non-payment of 3 months Salaries
A Supervisor with the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has come out to berate the the Managing Director of the agency Ibrahim Odumboni for the non payment of staff salaries for the past 3 months.
He was seen in a video making the rounds lamenting that they work everyday to ensure the cleanliness of the state.
He further stated that even despite the corona virus pandemic lockdown, they have had to risk their lives cleaning the streets everyday.
He complained of health issues and consequently appealed to the conscience of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to come to the aid of all the workers of the agency, with the view to ensure the payment of the salary backlog.
The Managing Director of LAWMA, Ibrahim Odumboni had at some point being reported to have said “Drastic measures have been put in place to enhance the operational efficiency of all the workers of the agency.”
