Lagos State Police Identify Auxiliary Nurse as Prime Suspect in Nigerian Rapper Mohbad’s Controversial Death

The Lagos State Police Command has officially named Feyisayo Ogedengbe, an auxiliary nurse, as the prime suspect in the tragic passing of popular Nigerian rapper, Mohbad.

During a press conference held on Friday afternoon, Lagos State Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa provided crucial updates on the ongoing investigation into the mysterious demise of the beloved singer.

Commissioner Owohunwa disclosed that the auxiliary nurse, Ms. Feyisayo, administered multiple highly potent injections, which promptly triggered a severe adverse reaction in Mohbad.

“At approximately 14:35hrs on September 12, 2023, Miss Feyisayo arrived with a pack of Ceftriaxone injection, a paracetamol injection, and a collection of needles and syringes. She proceeded to administer these drugs, resulting in Mohbad experiencing distressing symptoms such as vomiting, goosebumps, and convulsions,” Commissioner Owohunwa stated.

Furthermore, it was highlighted that Ms. Ogedengbe lacked the necessary qualifications for such a medical role and conducted these actions in a non-clinical setting, which has been deemed professional negligence.

As the investigation unfolds, several individuals, including the auxiliary nurse, Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Primeboy, a close childhood friend of Mohbad, are currently in police custody. They are being held for their alleged involvement in the sequence of events leading up to the rapper’s untimely demise.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Owohunwa disclosed that the autopsy results for Mohbad are still pending, as investigators continue their efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

The 27-year-old Mohbad passed away on September 12, just a few weeks after he had reported threats to his life to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police heading the Force Criminal Investigation Department, Lagos. These threats were attributed to Sam Larry and a group of individuals who reportedly attacked Mohbad during the filming of a music video with Zlatan. Additionally, videos emerged implicating Naira Marley in alleged threats against his former signee, Mohbad, further adding complexity to this unfortunate case.
