Pastor Adefarasin Granted Bail After Police Interrogation Over Viral Video
Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, has been granted bail by the Lagos State Police Command after voluntarily presenting himself for questioning in connection with a viral video showing him holding a gun-like object during an encounter with another road user.
The development was confirmed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed the details via the Command’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
According to Hundeyin, Adefarasin was interrogated on Tuesday and submitted a cautionary statement to police investigators. The item seen in the video and recovered from the pastor was identified as a stun gun, not a lethal firearm.
“What was recovered from him, the gun-like object seen in the viral video, is not a lethal weapon or firearm, but a stun gun, which is a prohibited anti-riot equipment,” Hundeyin stated.
He added that Adefarasin was released on bail while investigations into the incident continue.
