Lagos State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party Commiserates with Abule Ado Explosion Victims
“The Abule Ado Explosion which occurred in the early hours of today the 15th of March 2020 came as a rude shock to us in the People’s Democratic Party in Lagos State.”
The chairman of the Lagos state PDP Adedeji Doherty has commensirated with the entire residents of Abule Ado in Amuwo Odofin LGA, Lagos State, especially those that lost their property and loved ones in yesterday’s pipeline explosion.
Doherty said that: “Reports reaching us from some of our members who were affected by this strange massive explosion, suggests that this explosion was definitely of a catastrophic proportion and as such inflicted maximum damage on lives and property in the entire community”.
He said: this accident must be investigated by an independent panel and the findings made public in order and rather than ignoring recommendations, concrete steps must be taken to forestall any future reoccurrence.
Doherty also pleaded with the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu to as a matter of urgency create an Abule Ado Emergency welfare relief Centre specifically for the purpose of cushioning the losses suffered by victims. He suggested that the relief effort should be geared at providing material and financial compensation to the residents during this traumatic period.
Doherty ended by saying: “Our prayers go out to the affected Residents of Abule Ado and we pray that they find the strength to bear the loss. Amen
