Call Amotekun Opponents to Order, Group Tells Ooni, Alaafin, Olubadan, Others
A pan-Yoruba Group, Yoruba Youth Forum (YYF), has urged Yoruba royal fathers to call those opposed to the creation of Amotekun security outfit to order.
The group in a statement by its President-General, Comrade Abiodun Bolarinwa, while reacting to a rally held last week by another group, Yoruba Appraisal Forum, who kicked against Amotekun, said they are enemies of Yoruba people.
YYF said: “This faceless group called Yoruba Appraisal Forum is not a group to be taken seriously. It is only acting the script of some desperate politicians and enemies of the Yoruba people for the 2023 election.
“Those behind the group are agents of the Fulani herdsmen.
“We are using this medium to call on Ooni of Ife, Alaafin of Oyo, Olubadan of Ibadan, Ataoja of Osogbo, Alaake of Egbaland, Awujale of Ijebu-Ode, Oba Sikiru Adetona, Oba Akinolu of Lagos and all other Yoruba royal fathers and Yoruba leaders to urgently call these enemies to order.
“Protest by this faceless group will not change anything about Amotekun. Amotekun has come to stay and there is nothing anybody can do to prevent it.”
