Kwara Hotel Owner Found Dead in Mysterious Hotel Room Incident

Adeniyi Ọjọ, the esteemed Managing Director of Water View Guest House in Ilorin, Kwara State, was discovered lifeless in his hotel room on Friday, under circumstances that have left the community in bewilderment.

The renowned Water View Guest House, situated opposite the picturesque Asa River Bank, is a well-known establishment in the state capital, making this incident all the more baffling.

According to reports, the alarm was raised by Kehinde Olaseinde, a supervisor at the hotel, who stumbled upon the lifeless form of Mr. Ọjọ resting motionless on the bed in one of the guest rooms.

Confirming this distressing incident, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, the spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, stated that their office received a report from Mr. Olaseinde and immediately dispatched a team of seasoned detectives to the scene. Notably, the Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, also arrived at the Water View Guest House to oversee the situation.

Initial observations on the body did not reveal any apparent signs of physical violence. Nevertheless, as a precautionary measure, the deceased’s remains were transported to a local hospital where medical professionals confirmed his unfortunate passing. The body has since been placed in the custody of the general hospital mortuary in Surulere, pending an autopsy.

Commissioner Okasanmi disclosed that a discreet and thorough investigation into this perplexing case has been ordered by Commissioner Olaiya. The police are committed to uncovering the truth behind the untimely demise of Adeniyi Ọjọ and will provide the public with further details as soon as they become available.

This sudden and tragic incident has cast a pall of sorrow over the Water View Guest House and the entire community. As the investigation unfolds, many are left wondering what circumstances led to the passing of a man who played a pivotal role in the local hospitality industry.
