Kogi Guber: I See SDP’s Muri Putting Up Good Fight — Primate Ayodele
As the Kogi State governorship election approaches, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has made bold predictions about the potential prowess of the Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) gubernatorial candidate, Murtala Ajaka, in the upcoming electoral battle.
In a statement conveyed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele criticized the absence of a united front among opposition parties, lambasting their failure to form a coalition in readiness for the impending gubernatorial election slated for Saturday, November 11.
Expressing dismay at the opposition’s disjointed strategy, Primate Ayodele highlighted the difficulty for individual candidates to secure victory without a collaborative effort. He stressed that the absence of a coalition diminishes their chances in the race for the state’s leadership.
“In Kogi, the absence of a united front among opposition parties diminishes their prospects in the governorship election,” remarked Primate Ayodele. “The failure to form a coalition weakens their ability to challenge the ruling party. Each candidate’s pursuit of power independently greatly reduces their chances.”
The spiritual leader emphasized the necessity of a consolidated effort, citing that their simultaneous quest for power without a united front hampers the collective goal of progress for the state.
“The lack of a coalition undermines the opposition’s collective strength. A united front would have bolstered their potential to challenge the ruling party. However, their insistence on individual pursuits severely compromises their collective prospects,” the statement continued.
Despite the concerns raised about the disunity among opposition parties, Primate Ayodele foresees a strong showing from SDP’s Murtala Ajaka, predicting a robust challenge in the gubernatorial contest. He highlighted Ajaka’s potential to mount a formidable challenge in the electoral showdown, signifying a possible disruption to the dominance of incumbent parties.
“While the disunity among opposition parties remains a critical concern, the SDP candidate, Murtala Ajaka, is poised to present a substantial challenge,” noted Primate Ayodele. “I foresee Ajaka mounting a credible challenge in the upcoming election, potentially altering the landscape of the governorship race.”
With tensions escalating and the election fast approaching, the prediction of a competitive showing by SDP’s Murtala Ajaka, as asserted by Primate Ayodele, adds an intriguing dimension to an already intense political landscape in Kogi State.
