Kidnappers Seize Family Conveying Corpse from Lagos to Enugu, Demand N50 Million Ransom
Unidentified individuals have abducted a corpse along with family members who were transporting it from Lagos to Nsukka in Enugu State. The victim, late Mr. Ugwuanyi Israel from Ameze Owerre, Umabor community in Nsukka, died in Lagos, and his remains were being transported back home when the horrifying event unfolded.
According to a family source, the incident occurred yesterday (Sunday) at Umuoka in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State. The kidnappers intercepted the vehicle carrying the deceased’s body, leading to the abduction of everyone inside, including family members and the driver.
“The kidnappers have called the family and demanded a ransom of N50 million,” the family source revealed.
As of now, the police have not issued a statement regarding the incident.
