Kaduna Assembly Begins Inquiry into El-Rufai Administration’s Financial Transactions
The Kaduna State House of Assembly has initiated a thorough investigation into the financial dealings, loans, grants, and project executions during the tenure of the former governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai. The assembly convened on Tuesday and established a 13-member ad hoc committee to spearhead the inquiry.
The motion to scrutinize the loans acquired by the previous administration was set in motion by Hon. Yusuf Mugu, the representative of Kaura constituency, under the umbrella of a matter of public importance.
During the session presided over by the Speaker of the House, Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, it was emphasized that the ad hoc committee must extend invitations to all relevant stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive examination of the issues at hand.
