JUST IN: Tinubu Sacks Jalal Arabi Amid NAHCON Probe, Appoints Replacement
President Bola Tinubu has dismissed Jalal Arabi from his position as Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). This decision was confirmed by Ajuri Ngelale, the Presidential spokesman, who announced Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman as Arabi’s replacement.
Professor Usman, a distinguished scholar with degrees from the University of Madinah and Peshawar University, Pakistan, brings extensive experience in Hajj operations. He previously chaired the Kano State Pilgrims Board, overseeing the largest state quota of pilgrims in Nigeria.
The appointment of Professor Usman is pending confirmation by the Senate. President Tinubu has emphasized the need for the new NAHCON Chairman to uphold integrity, transparency, and dedication to the nation.
