JUST IN: President Tinubu Set to Reshuffle Cabinet – Presidency
It has been confirmed that President Bola Tinubu is preparing to reshuffle his cabinet. Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, made the announcement during a press conference at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday.
While Onanuga indicated that the reshuffle is imminent, he could not specify an exact date, noting that it may occur before Nigeria’s Independence Day on October 1st. “The President has expressed his desire to reshuffle his cabinet, and he will do it,” he stated, emphasizing that no specific timeline has been established.
On the performance of the current administration, Onanuga highlighted that during the latest Federal Executive Council meeting, President Tinubu urged ministers to actively communicate the achievements of the government. He remarked that some ministers have been “media shy” and encouraged them to engage more with the public.
“The feeling out there is that the government is not doing enough, but the government has been doing a lot,” Onanuga stated. He urged ministers to “blow their own trumpet” by sharing the accomplishments of their respective ministries.
