JUST IN: President Tinubu Names Abuja Expressway After Chinua Achebe
In a move to honor Nigeria’s literary heritage, President Bola Tinubu has approved the naming of the M18 road infrastructure in Guzape District, Abuja, after the esteemed novelist and poet, Chinua Achebe.
The announcement was made during the road’s inauguration ceremony on Saturday, June 8. President Tinubu highlighted Achebe’s profound impact on Nigerian literature and his global influence as a writer.
The news was shared by Olusegun Dada, Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media. Dada posted, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commissions the M18 road infrastructure in Guzape District of Abuja. Names road after Nigerian Novelist and Poet, late Professor Chinua Achebe.”
