JUST IN: Military Will Swing into Action if Protests Escalate, Says Chief of Defence Staff
In response to escalating nationwide protests, the military high command has announced that troops are on standby to restore law and order if called upon.
During a press briefing held at the Defence Headquarters on Friday, August 2, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, confirmed the readiness of the armed forces to intervene wherever necessary.
“The armed forces will not fold their hands and watch the nation on fire,” General Musa stated, emphasizing the military’s commitment to maintaining stability.
