JUST IN: Finally, President Tinubu to Address the Nation Amidst Hunger Protests
In response to mounting public pressure and a series of calls for intervention from Nigerians, President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to address the nation on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 am. The announcement comes amid ongoing protests by the #EndBadGovernance movement, which have significantly disrupted economic activities in several cities and resulted in numerous casualties.
Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed the broadcast in a statement released by the State House. He urged all television, radio, and electronic media outlets to tune into the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the live address.
The broadcast will be rebroadcasted at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm the same day on the NTA and FRCN networks.
