JUST IN: Elon Musk Launches New Political Party
Elon Musk has announced the formation of a new political group, the America Party, marking a dramatic new chapter in his growing involvement in U.S. politics. The move follows a recent and very public falling-out with President Donald Trump.
The billionaire entrepreneur, 54, revealed the news on Saturday evening via his social media platform, X, just a day after asking users in an online poll whether he should start a new party. The results showed a 2-to-1 majority in favor.
“By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it!” Musk declared. “When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste and graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy. Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom.”
