Elon Musk Deletes Explosive X Post Alleging Trump’s Pedophile Ties

Tech billionaire and X owner Elon Musk has deleted a controversial post in which he accused former President Donald Trump of being named in classified FBI files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The now-removed post marked a dramatic escalation in tensions between the two former allies, coming just days after Musk stepped down as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

In the post shared Thursday, Musk alleged that Trump was implicated in the high-profile sex trafficking investigation involving Epstein, who died by suicide in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial. “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files,” Musk wrote, further claiming, “that is the real reason they have not been made public.” The comment appeared to reference Trump’s repeated campaign promises to declassify all documents related to the Epstein case.

The social media outburst follows a sharp political rift between Musk and Trump, triggered by Musk’s vocal criticism of the Trump-backed “One Big Beautiful Bill.” The sweeping legislation seeks to extend tax cuts, intensify immigration enforcement, and introduce stricter work requirements for recipients of federal aid. Musk’s opposition to the bill comes amid broader political shifts and the rapid deterioration of his previously close relationship with Trump.

Online observers confirmed that Musk has since deleted the post, as reports emerged that allies on both sides are working behind the scenes to mend the fallout. The *Financial Times* reported that confidants are seeking to limit the political and commercial damage caused by the very public feud.

The fallout has already had significant consequences. Tesla, Musk’s flagship electric vehicle company, lost over $150 billion in market capitalization in the hours following the spat. Meanwhile, Trump’s legislative agenda is facing new uncertainty, with the “One Big Beautiful Bill” now at risk in the Senate after narrowly clearing the House.
