JUST IN: EFCC Reportedly Re-arrests Socialite Bobrisky at Lagos Airport
Operatives of Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reportedly re-arrested popular social media influencer and socialite, Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky. The arrest took place on Thursday night at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
Bobrisky, who was reportedly en route to London, was detained while attempting to board his flight just days after securing bail from the Nigerian Police. The arrest interrupted his travel plans, as Nigerian authorities promptly halted the flight and removed him from the aircraft.
Following the incident, Bobrisky took to Instagram, posting an urgent plea for help. “Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured,” he shared, raising concerns among his followers about his condition and situation.
Further details about the reason for this re-arrest have not yet been released. The EFCC has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
