Israel Discloses Damage Inflicted by Iranian Drone, Missile Assault

Israel has unveiled the extent of damage incurred on its territory following a drone and missile attack orchestrated by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the spokesperson for the Israeli military, confirmed on Sunday that the Nevatim airbase had been directly targeted by ballistic missiles. However, he emphasized that the resultant damage amounted to only “minor damage to infrastructure,” underscoring the base’s continued operational status.

Hagari further noted that the strike resulted in the injury of a young girl, asserting that all drones and cruise missiles launched by Iran had been intercepted prior to breaching Israeli airspace.

“Ballistic missiles, only a small number … single digits … fell in the base and around,” Hagari remarked during a morning briefing. “A direct hit with minor damage that doesn’t do anything to the operational of the base.”

He went on to reveal, “One young girl was in intensive care in hospital due to shrapnel injuries after the attacks,” underscoring the human toll of the assault.

Hagari characterized the utilization of ballistic missiles as an “escalatory factor,” hinting at the potential ramifications of such military actions.
