“I’m Under Attack” — NNPCL GCEO, Bayo Ojulari
The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Bayo Ojulari, has raised alarm that his life and those of the company’s management staff are under threat.
Ojulari disclosed this on Thursday while receiving a delegation of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), led by its president, Festus Osifo, at the company’s headquarters in Abuja.
He said the threats are linked to the reforms he introduced in the oil and gas sector, which are part of the mandate given to him by President Bola Tinubu to revive the nation’s struggling refineries.
According to him, some powerful interests who feel threatened by the changes are plotting to remove him from office. Ojulari lamented that the resistance to reform has now escalated into personal threats against him and his team.
