“If He Continues Like This, I Will Invite Him to Be My Campaign DG in 2027 Presidential Election” — Gov. Bala Mohammed Taunts President Tinubu

Bauchi State Governor Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has issued a pointed critique of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic policies, accusing the APC administration of causing widespread hardship for Nigerians. During a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) event on Wednesday, Mohammed called for a reversal of these policies and suggested that their continuation could be politically advantageous for his party in future elections.

Mohammed claimed that the APC’s economic policies have intensified suffering and spurred the recent #EndBadGovernance protests. He criticized Tinubu’s recent nationwide address for failing to address the core issues driving the protests, such as hunger and economic distress.

“The President’s speech was ineffective and did not align with the reality on the ground,” Mohammed said. He argued that Tinubu’s administration has not engaged with governors, who are closer to the people’s grievances. “The policies are not working. They are causing problems that need to be addressed immediately,” he added.

Highlighting the nationwide nature of the economic crisis, Mohammed pointed out that the problems are not confined to any particular region but are affecting the country as a whole. He also expressed frustration with the federal government’s failure to tackle issues like unemployment and education.

“If the federal government continues on this path, I will invite President Tinubu to be my campaign director in the 2027 Presidential Election,” Mohammed taunted, suggesting that the current policies could benefit his party politically by worsening the administration’s standing.

Mohammed reassured that Bauchi State is committed to effective governance and will continue to support the demands of the protesting youths. He urged the federal government to address these issues promptly to prevent further damage to the country.
