In a decisive move, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has relieved Bolaji Oreagba of his duties as the General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). The announcement came on Friday, accompanied by the immediate appointment of Bakare Oki Olalekan as the acting GM.
The decision, as conveyed by Olawale Musa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, was motivated by the pursuit of enhanced performance and sustained effective traffic management on the bustling roads of Lagos. Bakare-Oki, previously serving as the Deputy Director of the Logistics and Engineering Department at LASTMA, steps into this pivotal role with immediate effect.
Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed gratitude to the outgoing General Manager, Bolaji Oreagba, acknowledging his dedication and meritorious service to the state. As Bakare-Oki assumes the interim leadership, expectations are high for a seamless transition and continued efforts in optimizing traffic flow across Lagos.
