Governor Sanwo-Olu accused of destroying properties in Ikorodu without court order
Residents of Oke-Ira Community, in Igbogbo, Ikorodu Lagos, have accused Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of giving directives to demolish over 150 houses in the community without a Court Order.
It was reported that Governor resisted the intervention of Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Semiu Orimadegun Kasali, Emugoriade I, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Hon. Tokunbo Abiru, the House of Representatives member for Ikorodu Constituency Hon. Jimi Benson and the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area, Builder Sesan Daini.
The aggrieved residents stated that there is a Court case in place and the case was only recently adjourned till June 20, 2022.
The Lagos State Government has since not given any statement on the issue.
