Gov Ortom reconciles Channels Reporter and Wife after domestic violence
The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has waded into the domestic violence allegation between the Benue State Channel’s Reporter, Ifeyinwa Angbo, and his wife, which went viral on major social media handles.
Governor Ortom counselled the couple to always settle their differences amicably and shun the temptation of violence.
He stated that as a young couple with great potentials, the husband being a versatile journalist and the wife, a medical doctor, there was the need for them to foster a strong union, to serve as models to others.
In his reaction, the reporter, Angbo, apologised to his wife over the assault and equally sought the forgiveness of the entire womenfolk, while making amends going forward.
On her part, Dr. Angbo accepted her husband’s apology saying their children are tender while husband and wife needed prayers to grow stronger in love to nurture their kids well.
She appreciated Governor Ortom for taking time out of his very tight schedule to make peace between them, saying the Governor’s intervention was fatherly and a demonstration of love for them.
