“God’s Wrath Might Descend on Fubara If He Doesn’t Change” – Factional Rivers APC Chairman
The factional Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, has issued a stern warning to Governor Sim Fubara, cautioning that he risks divine wrath if he does not reconsider his approach to governance.
Okocha criticized the governor for allegedly distancing himself from any political party, claiming Fubara has failed to align with either the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or the APC.
In a statement, Okocha accused Fubara of meddling in the affairs of the APC in Rivers State, including allegedly sponsoring court cases aimed at undermining the party. He further suggested that the governor’s influence could be better directed toward resolving his political affiliations rather than engaging in divisive tactics.
“I pray for Fubara that he changes his style, otherwise the wrath of God might descend,” Okocha said. “All this bravado he is using to interfere with the APC, he could have channeled it to secure his place within the PDP. He is not a member of any political party.”
Okocha argued that Fubara’s lack of clear political identity undermines his position, adding that the PDP, which could have backed his governorship, no longer recognizes him as a member.
“If there is any election in the state, he has no party to sponsor him. The PDP will never present him because he is not their member,” Okocha remarked. “Now, he is trying to divide and rule, making a mockery of the judiciary in the process.”
