Former SSA Doyin Odebowale Reveals How Female Aide Triggered Akeredolu-Aiyedatiwa Feud

In a recent video that has gone viral, Dr. Doyin Odebowale, former Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties and Strategies to late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, sheds light on the origin of the feud between the current Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and his predecessor.

According to Odebowale, the tension began when it was discovered that a female aide to Akeredolu’s wife was sharing confidential information about the former governor’s health with Aiyedatiwa. The aide allegedly harbored aspirations of becoming the deputy governor after Akeredolu’s demise.

Odebowale claims that the First Lady was infuriated by the aide’s actions, as she pretended loyalty to Akeredolu while secretly building connections with Aiyedatiwa. The mistrust deepened as the aide allegedly schemed to secure the deputy governor position in the event of Akeredolu’s passing.

The former SSA also criticizes Akeredolu’s management of his health, blaming some of his aides for causing undue stress. He promises to delve into more details about Akeredolu’s son, Babajide, after the late governor’s burial.

Responding to the accusations, the state commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Rasaq Obe, denies allegations of paying for his nomination as Commissioner and disputes any quarrel with Babajide over diesel supply. Obe emphasizes his support for Akeredolu during the 2020 governorship election and refutes claims of being politically insignificant.

Obe further addresses the issue of forgery, stating that petitions have been sent to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. He stresses the importance of prosecuting those involved in forging Akeredolu’s signature, emphasizing the criminality of such actions.

As the controversy unfolds, Obe urges a focus on justice, maintaining that a political solution does not excuse forgery. The commissioner insists on holding individuals accountable for their actions, anticipating revelations as the new Governor examines official records.
