Five Suspected Bandits Killed in FCT Security Sweep, Bodies Recovered in Bwari
In a recent security operation, five suspected bandits were neutralised in the Kawu community, located in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The operation, which targeted criminal activities in the FCT and nearby states, led to the discovery of the corpses in Kuyeri Forest within the Kawu District.
According to sources, the bodies were left at the site for two days before being removed by environmental officials for burial on Saturday. Villagers reportedly gathered at the location to observe the scene, with one local expressing satisfaction over the outcome, stating, “We are really happy with what we have seen.”
Efforts to reach the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, for a statement were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
