Fire Engulfs Former Oyo Governor Alao-Akala’s Home, Claiming Two Lives
In a devastating incident, a fire erupted at the residence of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala, claiming the lives of two individuals.
Mr Oluwaseyi Awogbile, the Sector Commandant of the State Fire Service, Ogbomoso Command, officially confirmed the tragic event that unfolded at approximately 7:30 am on Monday, December 18, 2023.
While the exact cause of the fire remains uncertain, preliminary findings point to a power surge as the catalyst for the outbreak. Awogbile emphasized that investigations are underway to determine the precise circumstances leading to this unfortunate incident. “The service is currently working diligently to uncover the factors that may have contributed to the outbreak,” he stated.
An anonymous eyewitness revealed that the fire resulted in the loss of two lives, with another individual sustaining injuries. The injured person has been promptly taken to the hospital for necessary medical attention.
As the community grapples with this tragedy, authorities are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to shed light on the sequence of events that led to the untimely demise of the two individuals.
