“Find Me a Plot for My Retirement Home” – Tinubu Tells Soludo During Anambra Visit

During a one-day visit to Anambra State, President Bola Tinubu called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to allocate him a plot of land in the state for his future retirement home. The president made the request while addressing residents of the state at a town hall meeting organized as part of his visit to commission state-led projects.

In a warm exchange with the Anambra people, President Tinubu described himself as a “bona-fide son of Anambra” and humorously urged the governor to make land arrangements for what he called a “permanent abode” after his time in office. “You don’t have to move me from the Villa for only one week, give me a permanent abode,” Tinubu said, expressing admiration for the state’s progress.

Governor Soludo, in response, reaffirmed his administration’s support for the Tinubu-led federal government, noting that his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has resolved to back any administration at the center. He assured the president of continued support until the end of his tenure in 2031.

President Tinubu concluded his remarks with a message of unity and optimism, promising victory over insurgency and emphasizing the country’s potential. “This country is blessed and Anambra is part of it. Anambra is rising and we will rise together,” he said.
