Enugu State Governor Awards Scholarship to 17-Year-Old Aspiring Pilot, Covers N23 Million Initial Fees
In a heartwarming display of commitment to youth empowerment and education, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has awarded a full scholarship to Master Israel Echezona, a 17-year-old indigene who emerged as the top candidate in the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, entrance examination.
During a reception at the Government House, Governor Mbah congratulated Master Echezona and emphasized the importance of providing opportunities for the youth to excel. He pledged full support for the aspiring pilot, covering not only the initial N23.2 million fees but also all subsequent financial obligations until the completion of his training.
Expressing gratitude, Master Echezona vowed to make Enugu State proud and encouraged fellow youths to persevere in their pursuits. He highlighted Governor Mbah’s gesture as a beacon of hope for Nigeria’s future.
The beneficiary’s mother, Mrs. Ukamaka Echezona, echoed her appreciation for Governor Mbah’s swift response to their plea for assistance, noting the governor’s kindness and accessibility to ordinary citizens. She commended his dedication to service and expressed prayers for his continued success.
