EFCC Arrests Four Chinese Nationals, 101 Others for Internet Fraud in Abuja
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 105 individuals, including four Chinese nationals, over alleged involvement in internet fraud. The suspects were apprehended on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at a business apartment in the Gudu area of Abuja.
Among the suspects were 67 males, including the four Chinese nationals, and 38 females. They are accused of participating in a hotel review job scam that targeted victims and hotels across Europe and other parts of the world.
The EFCC reiterated its commitment to combating internet fraud and corruption, stating that the suspects would be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
