Doris Ogala Reportedly Arrested After Sharing Alleged Bedroom Photo of Chris Okafor

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala was reportedly arrested on Saturday following a series of public allegations she made against Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Ministry.

The development emerged during a live-streamed interview when the host interrupted the conversation to ask if police officers were present at her residence. Ogala responded in the affirmative, saying the police were in her house.

The reported arrest followed days of escalating controversy that began after a video of Okafor’s engagement to another woman circulated on social media. In response, Ogala alleged that she had been in a romantic relationship with the cleric since 2017. She claimed she left her previous marriage at his insistence and accused him of betraying her after years of intimacy and assurances of marriage.

Ogala also said the situation had severely affected her mental and emotional wellbeing, disclosing that she had struggled with suicidal thoughts. She later issued an ultimatum demanding that Okafor either marry her or financially compensate her by purchasing a house.

Despite the claims, photos from Okafor’s white wedding and traditional marriage ceremonies surfaced online last Wednesday. Following this, Ogala demanded N1 billion in damages from the cleric over an alleged breach of promise.

On Friday, the actress shared a now-deleted social media post showing a man she identified as Okafor in what appeared to be a private bedroom setting. In the caption, she claimed the image was evidence of their relationship and threatened to release a video. The post was removed shortly after it was published.

Ogala, who had been active on Instagram throughout the controversy, has not made any posts since the reported arrest.

Nigerian comedian Dee One also claimed that Ogala had been arrested, stating on social media that she would now have to defend her allegations in court.

Prior to the incident, Ogala had alleged that Okafor was planning to have her arrested with the involvement of the Department of State Services, saying she anticipated such a move before going public with her claims.

As of the time of filing this report, the Nigerian police have not released any official statement confirming Ogala’s arrest.
