Doherty Thanks Lagos PDP Members and Leaders after successful conduct of Lagos East Senatorial Primaries
The State Chairman Of the Lagos State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Engr Adedeji Doherty has congratulated and thanked party elders, leaders, members and most importantly the entire state executive committee members on the completion of a smooth Free and Fair Senatorial Congress/ Primaries.
Doherty said, “We thank the Almighty God for guiding us successfully, through this very important democratic process, it is very important to note that the outcome had winners and not “a winner”.”
Consequently my congratulations will therefore be directed to all our able and energetic aspirants who believed in the viability of the PDP as a platform to aspire for office, and put themselves forward to contest on the platform of our dear party.
“This gesture of confidence clearly shows that the PDP is still the People’s choice.”
Doherty also congratulated the good People of Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju Lekki, Shomolu and Kosofe Local Government in advance of the General Elections.
“On behalf of the Entire National Working Committee of our dear party ably led by Prince Uche Secondus, members of the board of trustees, our State leader Chief Olabode Ibiyinka George and the State Chairman of the Elders Committee & Senatorial Leader of the East Senatorial District Dr Abimbola Ogunkelu, I would like to congratulate the Good People of Lagos East Senatorial District in advance of the Senatorial Bye Elections coming up next month”.
Doherty also said that the Lagos State PDP is poised to take its rightful place in the administration of affairs in Lagos State and that the time had come for Lagosians to express their frustrations and displeasure on the 21 year misrule, mismanagement of affairs and the failed economic agenda of the Ruling Party (APC) in Lagos State, at the polls.
Doherty said “the APC at this juncture has been put on notice that the 2023 race for the round house in Alausa has by an act of God Began.”
Doherty took the opportunity to commiserate with the Oshinowo and Braimoh Family for the passing away of their sons.
“We must always recognise these two legislators who represented us both at the House of Assembly and the National Assembly, as member and senator as they served our state to the best of their ability.”
The Chairman then advised both Candidates, Mr Babatunde Gbadamosi who won the Senatorial ticket for Lagos East and Hon Adekoya Alebiosu who won the ticket for the House of Assembly for Kosofe Local Government Constituency 2, to close ranks especially with their fellow contestants.
Doherty said: “This Honorable Act will and can only strengthen the parties chances of winning the General Elections next month by the Grace of God.”
