Edo 2020: APC fomenting trouble for election to be postponed – Osagie
Special Adviser to Edo State Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Crusoe Osagie, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is stirring up controversy so that the authorities will postpone the September 19 governorship election.
Crusoe Osagie who said this in a statement he issued in Benin City, stressed that Edo State is calm and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, remains committed to ensuring peace before, during and after the poll.
The Governor’s aide claimed that APC leaders and the governorship candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu are agitated because they are not ready for the election as they are convinced that they do not stand any chance in the forthcoming election.
Osagie emphasised that Edo is at peace as the people are going about their businesses without any disturbances and urged Osagie Ize-Iyamu and his handlers to concentrate on their campaign.
