Court Orders Detention of Nurse, Friend in Connection with Mohbad’s Controversial Death
In a recent development surrounding the controversial death of renowned hip hop artiste Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba has taken significant action. On Monday, the court decided to send a 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe, and Mohbad’s friend, Ayobani Sadiq, back to police custody as they remain suspects in this high-profile case.
The allegations against Fisayo Ogedengbe suggest that she administered injections to Mohbad that ultimately led to his tragic demise. The court’s decision to return her to custody indicates the seriousness of the charges against her.
Furthermore, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun also ordered the continued detention of Ayobani Sadiq, who is believed to be associated with the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death. These actions underscore the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to get to the bottom of this case.
However, the magistrate granted bail in the amount of N20 million to two prominent individuals implicated in Mohbad’s death – Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry. The conditions of their bail include securing three responsible sureties who can provide the same amount, with one of them owning a landed property. As part of their bail terms, both defendants must surrender their passports and regularly report to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
Magistrate Olatunbosun emphasized that she should not be directly contacted regarding this case. She warned that any attempts to reach her would be documented and could potentially be disclosed during open court proceedings.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death is ongoing, and the case has been adjourned until November 29 for further advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution. The legal community and the public at large eagerly await the outcome of this high-profile case as it continues to unfold.
