Chelsea FC sack Thomas Tuchel

The management of Chelsea FC have sacked its head coach Thomas Tuchel.

This might not be unconnected with the recent poor showings of the club both in the English Premiership and the champions league.

Chelsea FC is presently sixth on the English Premiership table and began the 2022/23 champions league season with a 0-1 loss to Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia.

The management of Chelsea FC made the sack of Tuchel public in a press release.

“On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club. Thomas will rightly have a place in Chelsea’s history after winning the Champions League, the Super Cup and Club World Cup in his time here.”

He was appointed by Chelsea in 2021 and won the Champions League in his debut season.
