Businessman donates 16 ward offices to ADC in Anambra

An oil and gas business development consultant, Gini Chukwuma Williams, has donated 16 ward offices to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Idemili North and Idemili South Federal Constituency of Anambra State.

The initiative covers 16 of the constituency’s 24 wards, with the remaining offices expected to be commissioned later.

The offices, inaugurated on Sunday, are located in Abacha, Eziowelle, Abatete, Uke, Nkpor I, Oraukwu, Ideani, Ojoto, Awka-Etiti I, Awka-Etiti II, Nnobi I, Nnobi II, Nnobi III and Nnokwa. Seven of the wards are in Idemili South, while nine are in Idemili North.

Party officials at state, local government and ward levels attended the inauguration, including the Anambra ADC chairman, Patrick Obianyo.

Williams said the donation was his contribution to strengthening the party’s operations and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He noted that he joined the ADC in January in his home ward of Abacha alongside more than 250 supporters from his former party.

According to him, the offices will be equipped to support party activities and expand the ADC’s presence across the constituency.

Obianyo described the development as a step toward building a stronger grassroots structure for the party. The ADC state women leader, Amaka Obifuna, said the offices demonstrated that the party had structures across the state.

The ADC youth leader in Idemili North, Arinze Chukwu-Okoye, urged residents to register at ward level in preparation for the elections.

Williams also donated more than 2,000 campaign items, including T-shirts, caps and banners, to support mobilisation efforts.
