Brighton Game Could Be My Last for Liverpool — Salah
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has hinted that next week’s Premier League clash against Brighton could mark his final appearance for the club. Speaking in an interview with ViaPlay Football after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United, Salah revealed he may be saying goodbye to Anfield before heading to the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Egyptian star was left on the bench for the entire match against Leeds, marking the third consecutive game he has been excluded from manager Arne Slot’s starting lineup. Salah suggested a potential January transfer could see him depart Liverpool.
“I said to my parents: come to the Brighton game. I don’t know if I am going to play or not but I am going to enjoy it,” Salah said. “I will be at Anfield to say goodbye to the fans and go Africa Cup.”
