Bride-to-Be Killed After Informing Ex-Boyfriend of Upcoming Wedding
Tragedy struck in Enugu State as a young woman, Chisom Ayogu, was allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend, Ogbonna, popularly known as Mourinho, shortly after she visited him to inform him of her upcoming wedding.
The incident occurred at Ogbonna’s residence on New Anglican Road in Nsukka Local Government Area. Chisom, a native of Amufie community in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, reportedly went to see her former partner as a gesture of closure before starting a new chapter in her life.
According to sources, the visit turned violent when Ogbonna allegedly assaulted her during their conversation. Neighbours who heard the commotion found Chisom unconscious and rushed her to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, she was declared dead on arrival by medical personnel.
The suspect, Ogbonna, who is from Igogoro community, also in Igbo-Eze North, has been arrested by the police and is currently undergoing interrogation.
The incident has left the community in shock and mourning, with many expressing disbelief over the tragic outcome of what should have been a peaceful visit. Authorities have assured that a full investigation is underway to ensure justice is served.
