Bayelsa Guber Poll: Dickson Tightens Grip on PDP, to Anoint Successor
The governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson has tightened his grip on the state’s chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following the success of the Restoration Camp, a political camp belonging to him at national delegates election held in all eight local government areas in the state.
The National delegates election organised by the deputy governor of Abia state, Dr. Ude Chukwu on Monday was cleared by the Restoration camp in addition to its success at Saturday’s ward delegates election conducted by the governor of Ebonyi state, Dave Umahi.
The governor is reportedly planning to anoint a former member of the House of Representatives,Diri Douye as his successor.
