Bandits Abduct Over 30 Worshipers in Zamfara Mosque Attack
More than 30 worshipers were abducted from a mosque in Tsafe town, the administrative center of Tsafe Local Government Area in Zamfara State. The unfortunate event unfolded on Thursday morning when armed bandits invaded the mosque during the congregation’s morning prayers.
Sources report that the assailants, notorious for their activities in the state, stormed the mosque, unleashing a barrage of gunfire with sophisticated weapons. In a swift and chilling operation, the attackers seized the worshipers and vanished into the nearby forest.
Despite attempts to obtain information from the state police command, reaching the authorities proved futile. The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Yazid Abubakar, remained unreachable, leaving concerned citizens and the community in a state of distress.
