The All Progressives Congress (All Progressives Congress) has disqualified more than 60 aspirants linked to Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara from its 2027 Rivers State House of Assembly primaries.

According to the party’s screening list, over 60 individuals were not cleared across multiple constituencies in Rivers State. The affected aspirants were spread across Okrika, Khana, Omuma, Ahoada East, Obio/Akpor, Ikwerre, Andoni, and Akuku-Toru.

Several of those excluded are widely associated with Fubara’s political network. Names listed among the disqualified include Berebupakabo Isaac Sekibo, Tamunodiepriye Fubara, Goodluck Ohaka, Tonye Garrick Tom-George, Prince Emukighro Fubara, and Tamunobaraiba George.

The screening outcome also cleared 33 aspirants for the primaries. Among those approved are figures linked to the camp of Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, including Maol Dumle, Tonye Smart Adoki, Kenneth Minimah, Justina Aniton Okorji, and Arnold O. Davids.

The development follows earlier screening decisions that excluded additional Fubara-aligned aspirants from the party’s Senate and House of Representatives contests in Rivers State, signaling continued internal tensions ahead of the 2027 election cycle.
