Appeal Court Sacks Sokoto APC Senator, Rep
The Court of Appeal sitting in Sokoto has sacked the senator representing Sokoto South, Abubakar Tambuwal and the Member representing Bodinga/Dange Shuni/Tureta Federal Constituency, Aliyu Shehu both of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The court in its judgement delivered on Wednesday by Justice Federich Oho ordered the return of the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibrahim Danbaba and Balarabe Kakale as the rightful winners of the Sokoto South Senatorial and Bodinga/Dange Shuni/Tureta Federal Constituency elections respectively.
Danbaba and Kakale had filed appeals challenging the judgements of the Election Petitions Tribunal that upheld the victories of Tambuwal and Shehu.
Justice Oho ruled that PDP candidates were able to prove their cases beyond reasonable doubts.
