APC Nominates Hon. Dennis Idahosa as Deputy Governor Candidate for Edo 2024 Election
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced Hon. Dennis Idahosa as its choice for the deputy governorship candidate in the forthcoming September 21 Edo governorship election.
Idahosa, a former aspirant for the APC ticket in the Edo governorship race, will join forces with Senator Monday Okpebholo, the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the state.
Following his defeat in the APC primaries, where Okpebholo emerged victorious and secured the party’s ticket for the November 21, 2024 election, Idahosa has now been appointed as his running mate.
The unveiling ceremony took place during a meeting on Sunday night, attended by key figures including the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, Senator Okpebholo, and other prominent party members.
Today, Ganduje and the party’s National Secretary, Sen. Ajibola Bashiru, are expected to present Okpebholo and Idahosa to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the villa.
Hon. Dennis Idahosa replaces Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, who was initially selected as the running mate by the gubernatorial candidate last week.
