APC in a bid, to forestall a repeat of what happened in the Bayelsa State Governorship elections, as a result of a Supreme Court ruling on the certificate of it’s Deputy Governorship candidate have gone ahead to display the certificates of its six aspirants in the race for Edo State Governorship seat at the Party Secretariat in Abuja.
The National Secretary of the party, Issa-Onilu said “You will recall what happened in Bayelsa, we thought we did the best we should, but it turned out that we did not do enough.”
“So the best thing we have to do now, is to go beyond ourselves to the things that may not be known to us.”
“Besides the fact, that we have put it out for anybody who has information to help the screening committee, we are also taking official steps to verify some of these documents to be sure that we do the right thing and come out clean.”
The credentials of the six aspirants, Godwin Obaseki, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Pius Odubu, Chris Ogiewonyi, Osaro Obazee, Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen were all displayed.
Reports have it that, Governor Obaseki’s result showed that he obtained 3 credits and 2 passes in his WAEC exam.
