APC Chieftain Obidike Slams Soludo’s Administration, Advises Him to Forget Re-Election
In a scathing critique of the Anambra State government led by Governor Charles Soludo, Hon. Obidike Chukwuebuka, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed deep disappointment over the alleged abandonment of the DUBAI-TAIWAN manifesto, a key promise made during Soludo’s inauguration in March 2023.
Addressing journalists in Awka, the state capital, over the weekend, the outspoken Pro-Tinubu youth champion condemned the state of infrastructural decay in Anambra. He particularly highlighted the hazardous conditions of the state roads, emphasizing that they have become perilous traps for residents and visitors alike.
Hon. Obidike accused Soludo of failing to fulfill his pre-2021 gubernatorial election promises, asserting that the former governor of Nigeria’s apex bank had deceived voters into believing he was the savior who would address the dilapidated road conditions within his first year in office. Expressing his dismay, Obidike stated, “Today, our roads are in shambles, especially those leading to and from the bustling and ecologically significant Nnewi market.”
In a bold piece of advice, Hon. Obidike urged Governor Soludo to reconsider his re-election ambition, cautioning that it would encounter substantial resistance. The APC Chieftain argued that Soludo’s performance has been abysmal, attributing the failures to the overconfident nature of the regional All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
On the political landscape, Obidike confidently asserted that the APC has undergone significant restructuring, positioning itself to seize control of the state. The chieftain’s remarks suggest a growing optimism within the APC regarding its chances to dominate Anambra politics.
