In Bauchi State, tensions have escalated following the burning of the District Head’s palace in Lere town, Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area. The incident occurred after a violent clash between military forces and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Lere.

Another local, Alhaji Sule Abdullahi, confirmed the attack, stating, “On Wednesday, the angry youths gathered at the palace and set the buildings on fire.”
