In a distressing incident that unfolded on Friday, October 6, gunmen seized Reverend Agbadamashi Emmanuel, an Anglican priest, along with his wife and children. This harrowing event transpired along the East-West road, near the Evwreni junction, as reported by the media.
The victims were en route from Ughelli to Uwheru community, situated in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State when the assailants launched their brazen attack, leading to the abduction.
As of the time of this report, Reverend Agbadamashi Emmanuel and his family remain in the custody of their captors, heightening concerns for their safety and well-being.
The Public Relations Officer of the Anglican Communion, Ughelli Diocese, Hon Justice Iyasere, confirmed the unsettling incident. Regrettably, he could not provide confirmation regarding whether the kidnappers have initiated any demands for ransom.
